The Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal that seeks to advance scholarship on the transnational aspects of law in the broadest sense – including (but not limited to) questions of politics, culture, economy, and the legal profession. We welcome individual papers as well as proposals for guest-edited symposia on timely topics of potential interest to a wide readership.
At this moment, we are particularly interested in manuscripts themed to current developments in relation to (1) legal (or sociolegal) aspects of the Covid-19 pandemic; (2) global aspects of racial justice movements and their projects of law reform; or (3) a combination of these two areas.
Please address your inquiry on these or other themes to the journal’s faculty and student editors at ijglssub@iu.edu.
Please note that all contributions will be individually reviewed, and acceptance of a symposium proposal does not guarantee acceptance of every paper.
A brief e-mail is sufficient for the purposes of an initial inquiry. The finished proposal should include the following elements:
1. Name(s) and cv(s) of the proposed editor(s);
2. Names of all proposed authors, along with titles and abstracts (150 words max) of all proposed contributions;
3. A statement of rationale by the guest editor (500 words max) including specific reference to the intended contribution to understandings of globalization and legal studies; and
4. A proposed submission deadline.
